New Jersey Forensic Science Education Conference

NJIT has the only forensic science undergraduate degree program in New Jersey. The partnership of our Center for Pre-College Programs and College of Science and Liberal Arts uniquely positions us to support forensic science education at the pre-college level.

During Summer 2025, NJIT will host the 4th Annual New Jersey Forensic Science Education Conference on our campus. NJFSEC is designed to increase middle and high school teachers' knowledge of the forensic sciences and to assist them as they develop challenging, innovative curricula for forensic science courses.

We have developed a new program led by university professors and practitioners. It emphasizes hands-on, classroom-ready labs in Forensic Biology, Chemistry and Crime Scene Investigation, utilizing our custom-built Forensics and Crime Scene Laboratories. Each day features a lunchtime speaker expert in an area of forensics. Special sessions have been added led by high school science teachers experienced in teaching forensics during which you will have an opportunity to network and develop your own curricula. We hope you will join us!

If you teach science in New Jersey, you may be eligible for partial registration fee support.
